"Are your journals customizable?"
Yes. Every Lunar Ledger is completely collaborative and one of a kind.
Once your commission is secured, we'll build your journal together from the ground up. You can create a Pinterest inspiration board, we'll discuss themes, colors, textures, hardware, and functionality until it feels unmistakably yours.
No two journals are ever alike, and I will never recreate someone else's piece. Out of respect for my clients, every Lunar Ledger remains truly one of one.
"Why are the journals sold out?"
Lunar Ledger accepts a limited number of commissions at a time to ensure every journal receives the care and attention it deserves.
Once a production queue is full, journals are marked as sold out until the next release opens.
"What is the "Next Release"?"
The Next Release allows you to reserve your place in my upcoming production queue before production begins.
Each release is limited to a small number of journals. Once all places have been claimed, the listing closes until the following release.
"Why don't I see a preview of my exact journal before ordering?"
Every Lunar Ledger is made to order.
The photographs shown throughout my website are examples of previous commissions and are intended to showcase my craftsmanship and aesthetic. Your journal will be designed specifically for you, making it completely one of one.
"Do you ship internationally?"
Yes! I proudly ship Lunar Ledger journals worldwide.
International shipping rates are calculated at checkout. Please note that any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, or other charges imposed by your country are the responsibility of the buyer. These fees are not included in your purchase or shipping cost and may be collected by your local customs office or delivery carrier before your package is released.
For the security of your one-of-a-kind journal, all international orders require a signature upon delivery. This helps ensure your package reaches you safely and provides added protection for both you and Lunar Ledger.
If your shipping address is being marked as invalid during checkout, please don't panic. Reach out to me directly and I'll do everything I can to help resolve the issue. In many cases, it's simply a formatting issue that can be corrected.
Unfortunately, I have no control over customs fees, import policies, or delivery delays caused by customs processing, as these vary by country.
"What is your turnaround time?"
Each Lunar Ledger is handcrafted entirely by me, from start to finish. Once I reach your place in the production queue, your journal typically takes 4–6 weeks to create.
Please note that this timeframe begins when your commission enters production, not when your order is placed. I work through my queue in the order commissions are received so every journal receives the time and attention it deserves.
While many journals are completed sooner than expected, 4–6 weeks is the latest estimated completion time once I begin your commission. I will never rush my creative process to meet an arbitrary deadline.
If you're looking for a journal on a strict timeline or you're not comfortable waiting, I kindly ask that you do not place an order. Lunar Ledger is built on slow craftsmanship, and every piece deserves the time required to become something truly special.
I know waiting can be exciting, but I also ask for your patience with emails and messages. Lunar Ledger is a one-woman business, and every hour spent answering emails is an hour I'm not creating journals.
I'll personally reach out as your place in the queue gets closer, and that's when we'll begin collaborating on your commission. Until then, you're always welcome to gather Pinterest boards, color palettes, themes, or other inspiration so we'll be ready when it's your turn.
"Do you make vegan leather journals?"
Yes! While the vast majority of my journals are crafted from genuine leather, I do offer vegan leather options upon request.
Because I don't keep vegan leathers in stock, they are sourced specifically for your commission. To begin the process, you'll first need to place your order. Once your commission is secured, we'll discuss your vision in detail. The more descriptive you can be, the better. Colors, textures, finishes, aesthetics, inspiration photos, and the overall vibe all help me source materials that best reflect your piece.
As with every Lunar Ledger, your journal will still be completely collaborative and one of a kind.
"Are the journals refillable?"
Yes! Every Lunar Ledger is designed to evolve with you.
The inserts are completely removable and replaceable, allowing you to customize the inside as your needs change over the years. The leather cover is built to last a lifetime—it's the part you'll keep. The contents inside can be swapped out whenever you're ready for something new.
The A5 size is especially versatile. In addition to the included inserts, it can accommodate many A5 notebooks, planners, sketchbooks, reading journals, work notebooks, and even devices like a Kindle (depending on the model and case).
Whether you're journaling today, planning your week next year, sketching, studying, or preserving memories decades from now, your Lunar Ledger is designed to adapt to every stage of your life while remaining the same heirloom cover you'll carry with you for years to come.
"Do you accept collaborations, gifted requests, or donations?"
At this time, I am not accepting gifted projects, donation requests, or unpaid collaborations.
As a one-woman business, every Lunar Ledger takes approximately 80 hours to create. I'm currently booked into the new year, so my time is fully dedicated to the clients already in my production queue.
If you're interested in commissioning a journal, I'd be honored to create one for you. However, I'm unable to take on unpaid projects or public collaborations at this time.

"Are your journals really handmade?"
Yes.
Every Lunar Ledger is designed, cut, edge-finished, hand-punched, hand-stitched, assembled, photographed, packaged, and shipped by me.
Many journals contain over 5,000 hand stitches, more than 1,000 individually punched holes, and upwards of 80 hours of craftsmanship.
"Can you recreate a journal you've already made?"
No.
While we can absolutely create something with a similar spirit or aesthetic, I will never copy another client's journal.
Each piece deserves its own identity.
"Can you create something that's never been done before?"
Absolutely.
Some of my favorite commissions begin with an idea that doesn't exist yet. If you have a vision you've never seen brought to life, I'd love to explore it with you.
Send me Pinterest boards, color palettes, sketches, handwritten notes, a rough drawing of your dream journal, or simply describe the feeling you want it to evoke. On the other hand, if you'd rather hand me the reins completely, you're welcome to give me full creative freedom.
Whether you arrive with a fully developed concept or only a single spark of an idea, we'll work together to create a one-of-a-kind journal that's uniquely yours. My goal is always the same: for you to receive a piece you'll treasure for a lifetime.
"Do you offer payment plans?"
Yes.

Black interior lining comes standard on all journals.
Embellished journals may include additional curated features depending on the design.
"Can I choose my charms?"
Not individually.
For embellished journals, the charm selection is part of my creative process. Rather than choosing specific charms, I thoughtfully source and curate embellishments that best reflect your journal's story, aesthetic, and overall design.
If there are certain symbols, themes, or motifs you'd love to see incorporated (for example: celestial, botanical, gothic, vintage, ravens, keys, etc.), you're welcome to include those in your inspiration. From there, I'll curate a collection that feels cohesive and uniquely yours.
Likewise, if there are any symbols or themes you'd prefer I avoid (such as religious imagery, insects, snakes, skulls, or anything else), please let me know during the design process so I can ensure your journal feels completely your own.
"Why are they priced the way they are?"
Every Lunar Ledger is a true heirloom.
Each journal takes between 80-100 hours to create and is built entirely by hand using premium materials. Every patch is individually edge-finished, hand-punched, and hand-stitched before becoming part of the final piece.
You're not purchasing a mass-produced notebook—you're commissioning an original work of functional art designed to last a lifetime.
"When should I contact you?"
Please only reach out if you're ready to join the commission queue.
As a one-woman business, I personally handle every aspect of Lunar Ledger—from designing and creating each journal to answering emails, direct messages, packing orders, photographing pieces, and shipping every order myself. Because of this, response times may take a few days.
I've worked hard to make this website as comprehensive as possible, so I encourage you to browse through the FAQ and product pages first. Most common questions are answered here.
If, after reading through everything, you're ready to commission a journal or have a question specific to your future piece, I'd love to hear from you. Keeping my inbox reserved for serious inquiries allows me to spend more time creating journals and giving each client the attention they deserve.

"What happens after I place my order?"
Once your order is placed, your spot in my production queue is officially secured.
While you're waiting, feel free to leave any notes or inspiration in the Order Notes section at checkout, or email me directly at the.lunar.ledger@gmail.com. Pinterest boards, color palettes, reference photos, aesthetics, symbolism, and specific requests are all welcome.
When your journal is next in line to begin production, I'll reach out via email to start the collaborative design process. At that point, we'll finalize your vision and any remaining details before I begin sourcing materials and creating your piece.
To keep my production schedule running smoothly, I ask that you respond within 48 hours of my email. If I don't hear back within that time, I'll need to temporarily move on to the next journal in the queue. Your commission isn't canceled—you'll simply resume once I'm able to circle back after receiving your response.
